Process of making my Animation

Today I decided on what my animation was going to be about. I was going to use a few images from google and re-draw them changing a few features. My animation was going to be about One Direction, consisting of the band members; Louis, Niall and Harry.
The images i was going to use to help me draw the characters are:

Today I started drawing my first character Louis. On the left you can see the image I drew myself on Inkscape. On the right I have proved that I drew it myself on Inkscape by showing the nodes on the carrot. I saved this character in a seperate Inscape file called 'Louis'.

Today I started creating my other two characters; Harry and Niall and also a small carrot. The picture on the left shows the image I drew on Inkscape. The image on the right shows the nodes on both characters to prove that I drew the image myself on Inkscape. I saved these character in a different Inkscape file called 'Harry and Niall'.

Today I exported bitmap images to create my final animation which would move. I started of by going to 'Document Properties' to make the background not transparent, so I made the background colour grey. I also set the size of my canvas to 10cm by 10cm.

Then I placed my character (the carrot one) onto the background and used the text tool to write the letter 'Z' to represent snoring, as the character is sleeping. I exported a few bitmap images of the letter 'Z' appering on the screen one by one.

Today I added speach bubbles to create the illusion that the character is dreaming. To prove that I have created the cloud on the left using Inkscape, you can see on the left the cloud and on the right you can see  the nodes of the cloud. I exported a few bitmap images of the clouds growing larger and larger, one by one.

Today I placed my two characters, Niall and Harry, into the largest cloud/bubble. I then exported bitmap images of Niall and Harry moving back and forth so it looks like they are fighting over the carrot they are holding. (The carrot is actually Louis')

22/3/12

Today I made the carrot, which Harry and Niall are holding,  grow bigger and bigger and so then it finally explodes. Just before the carrot explodes I changed the facial expressions of both Harry and Niall to a shocked face as they dont know why the carrot is growing larger. While I was creating all this I was also exporting the images.

To show that the carrot has exploded I created a 'Boom' sign using the Inkscape tool called 'Bezier Tool'. To prove I created the image on Inscape you can see the 'Boom sign on the left and the nodes on the image on the right.

Today I created facial expressions for Harry and Niall for when the carrot exploads. When I created them I exported bitmap images of their facial expression changing. Then I made Louis open his eyes and have red cheeks as he is shocked that his carrot has exploded, but then I make his eyes look down to his carrot, then he realizes it was all a dream. Then the clouds/bubbles disappear the screen, one by one. All this has been exported in bitmap images.

I created a series of bitmap images today of Louis' hand moving back and forth, showing affection to his carrot. I then used the 'Text' tool to type in the word 'My Carrot!!' The entered the screen one by one in different colours, to do this I exported the first letter as a bitmap image then added on each letter seperatly continuing to export the images as a bitmap image.

Today I 'zoomed in' to Louis. But what I really did was make Louis just a little larger and exported a bitmap image then i make him larger making him more to the center, then exported the image as a bitmap image, and done that untill Louis was as large as the screen/canvas.

I created, using Inkscape, the symbol for One Direction. To prove that I have drawn this picture myself using Inkscape, you can see the image on the left is the 1D symbol and on the right you can see the nodes on the number 1. 

later today I made the 1D symbol, I created earlier, grow larger in-front of Louis. I did this by using the same 'technique' I used to make Louis larger (zoom in).

Today I used all my Bitmap images and created my animation by placing those images in a program called 'Movie Maker' I made each frame have different duration between 0.03-o.40

I thought I would just be a little different and work ahead of the class and add sound to my animation, so I found snoring sounds, a boom sound and One direction saying 'Hi, we are One Direction'.
