Process

What was done every day?
1/6/12
Today we got an assignment which required us to produce a video of around 5 minutes in duration. The video may be on one of the topics listed below. Successfully completing this task will require your group to create and edit video and audio files and to publish the finished product in an appropriate format. This task will ideally be done in groups of three.
We also had to pick groups and in my group I have Adriana Zeidan. We had chosen the topic "What are Smartphone apps and how to install"

7/6/12
Today Adriana and I did research on our topic, finding out what are smartphones and some features of a smartphone.
Here are just a few of the websites we used:

  • http://www.vodafone.com.au/personal/mobile-internet/mobile-internet-basics/what-is-a-smartphone/index.htm
  • http://cellphones.about.com/od/glossary/g/smart_defined.htm
13/6/12
Today we started on the story board and the script.  Here you can view our story board:

Also we made the script:
A Smartphone is a device that allows the owner to make phone calls to other phones, It’s like another phone you find, but they also add features. They add features that you might find on a personal computer. A Smartphone also offers the ability to send and receive e-mail and edit Office documents.
Apps are applications which can be used on Smartphones and have been intended to make life easier. The majority of mobile phones, nowadays, are smartphones which have access to these applications. Applications are developed for personal and professional use, there are a variety of apps which can be installed onto the Smartphone’s, such as things ranging from education, business, media, games, etc.
Applications can connect to the internet to perform functions which were originally only made for computers and laptops. Some Smartphone’s start off with the basic apps already installed on them, such as; Web browsing, emailing and accessing phone settings. Even tho there are apps already installed onto the phone, this doesn’t mean the consumer cannot install other apps that they desire, they can install any application on their phone for either a small fee or no price at all, and this is how:

When installing applications onto the smartphone, for apple, the consumer must be aware  that it is necessary to have availability to wifi, and when installing applications the consumer is taking up data from the phone. Before being able to install applications the user must have an apple account which has credit-card details and personal information.
First you must open the app store on the iphone.
Then you have different options on which application to install. You can either pick from featured, categories, top 25 or search. You may be wondering what the updates is for. It is used when you want to renew apps which you have already installed so they become better applications.
For example we could install something from the top 25. Press it.
Then click “top free” so you don't need to pay.
Now decide on what application you would like to install and press it.
Once you have opened it, press “free” “install app” and at this point you will need to put your account email and password.
Insert your details and you have now successfully installed an application.

18/6/12
Today we started drawing the little components which were to be included in the video. And then a few days later we started filming the video.

25-26/6/12
I edited the video adding music and sound to it.
